The 3,419 square foot house, built in 1980, is designed for entertaining simply and efficiently. The flow of the bedrooms, three upstairs with two bathrooms, one on the main floor and a downstairs master, makes it especially inviting for multiple generations. It sleeps 14 and offers multiple areas for rest and relaxation. "The house easily accommodated our multi-generational family of 10 (6 adults 4 kids ages 9-13). Of the 6 adults/3 couples, every couple had their own ensuite bathroom," says one VRBO review. "There was ample room for everyone in the home and we spent a generous amount of time on the deck also, even had a cow moose and calf pass by one morning. Every night there were games played at the game table in the large family room and we enjoyed dinners together around the large dining table and nearby family room," wrote another. The kitchen is also well thought out with granite countertops and a sink that looks out onto the forested backyard. A one bay garage opens onto a laundry/utility room that leads into the kitchen for ease of transporting groceries. The traditional floor plan gives the cook ample space to plan and prep meals while others find their respite. Skiers will love the walk up access to the Moose Creek chairlift, which brings residents of the old village neighborhood up to the base of the mountain. Beyond skiing, access to the village core provides all kinds of entertainment that includes mountain biking, a ropes course, hiking summer concerts and fireworks. Walk home from the Shooting Star Golf Club or some of the finest restaurants in Jackson Hole. Just a few minutes in the car and you are at the entrance into the national park, with miles of outdoor opportunities for a dip in glacial waters, rock climbing, bouldering and a picnic under a mountain vista. Because the house is built into a hillside, there are decks on all three floors and room for season round outdoor play. The hot-tub is on the same floor as the media room and the master bedroom also has a jacuzzi tub.
